Born

The reason many professing Christians continue to live sinful lives is they have NOT been born again. They are not saved. Christ is not in their heart. There is no salvation without Jesus Christ.

Water baptism, church membership, reformation, trying to do better, making resolutions to quit bad habits, giving money or service to the church, or trying to be a Christian without the life of Christ inside.

Acts 4:10-2 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Psa 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 10:9-11

To be born again you must be born of the spirit of God. Jesus will put his spirit in you. If any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away and all things are new. Do you remember a time when you were changed and all things became new in your life? If not you may not be born again. Measure your self by the word of God, do you measure up? Don't believe what people tell you, believe what is in your heart. Be honest with God and with yourself. Where you spend eternity, heaven or hell, depends on your decision.

No amount of good deeds, good works, being good, doing good things for others, going to church, giving in offerings, will get you to heaven apart from Jesus Christ. You may belong to a church and have been baptized, but is Christ in you? Christ must be in you! Jesus Christ is the only way to get to heaven. Good works, good deeds will follow salvation, but you cannot earn salvation. It is a gift of God, not of works, less we should boast we earned it.

Some measure themselves by others and decide they are as good or better than most. I did this for years. My problem; I was looking at people and not looking at Jesus Christ. Maybe you are doing the same? When I turned to Christ, He changed my life. He will yours as well!

Some tell me they have always been a Christian. These seem to think that because their parents were Christians, they are as well. Some think that because they haven't done so-called big sins they are all right. Not so, we all must be Born Again.

Sometimes people are sorry for their sin because they got caught or had to live with the consequences of their sin. But just feeling sorry for your sin will not lead to changed behavior. A person must repent before God.

All trying to "live right" apart from Christ is self righteousness and will not please God. Don't try to quit sin and then come to Christ. Turn to Him and let Him cleanse you and give you victory over all sin. This is what He died for!

If you do not know you are Born Again, you probably are not! The promise of salvation is for whosoever will. No matter how deep in sin you may be, Jesus died for you. If you are not sure, you are born again, pray this simple prayer and mean it from your heart. The key is believing with your heart, committing fully to Jesus Christ. Are you broken hearted over your sin and desire with your whole heart to be forgiven and delivered? If so, then the Holy Spirit has convicted you and you are ready for salvation. Let's pray.

Jesus, I confess, I am a sinner. I repent and turn from sin to you for forgiveness. I believe you are The Saviour. I am so sorry for my sins and ask you to forgive me and wash my sins away by your blood. I believe you do it now. Now that I am forgiven and cleansed from my sin, come into my heart and live your life in and through me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I believe that you died for me and that you arose from the dead and now live to help me be what you want me to be. From this moment on I will, with Your help, live according to the Bible and serve You. Amen.

Now that I have been Born Again what do I do?
Rom 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
1 John 2:4-6 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Find out what the word of God says for yourself, begin to read the Bible. Start with the new testament, read it through, become a doer of the truth. The Bible gives the guidelines for the Christian walk. Ask Jesus to give you the ability (in Him) to be obedient to the word of God. When you read and don't understand it, ask The Lord to show you the truth. Ask Him to give you the understanding of what you read. Renew your mind with the Word of God.

Find a Bible believing, God honoring Church and become a part of it. If you are physically able, be baptized in water soon as possible. When you do; realize you are burying what you were to be raised to live a Christ-like life.
